New York Giants defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka alleged on Friday that Washington Redskins tackle Chris Samuels made a dirty play when he fell on the back of his ankle after being beaten on a pass rush on the final play of the NFL season opener.
Kiwanuka hurt his left ankle on the play. X-rays were negative, but the ankle was still sore on Friday, and so was Kiwanuka.

After signing his three-year, $11 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens on Friday, offensive tackle Willie Anderson hopes to play in Sunday's season opener against the team that cut him.
The 6-foot-5, 340-pound former Cincinnati Bengals team captain isn't expected to start immediately at right tackle, where Adam Terry is atop the depth chart.
"It would be crazy to think that I'm more prepared than those guys right now," Anderson said.

Peters to end holdout, will not play Sunday |

The Buffalo Bills said Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters will end his holdout and report to the team Saturday morning.
Bills chief operating officer Russ Brandon said in a statement Friday that Peters has filed a reinstatement letter with the NFL. But he's not expected to play in the regular-season opener against Seattle on Sunday.
Peters emerged as one of the top offensive linemen in the league last season, his first at left tackle.
